Reflection - Day 2

I have added how I am going to create my database, using Microsoft Assess, and I have formed a table showing the details on how it is going to be formed such as the specific requirement for the database of the Medicine Stock and the Customers who has bought the medicine. For example, the Medicine Stock database would need the manufacturer name, manufacturing date, expiry date, medical name and so on. And for the Customer database, it would need the customer name, age, medicine bought and so on. So, my investigation is completed! However, for improvement, I could compare the current system used and how using databases would help. 

Reflection - Day 1

Investigation:

Our task was to choose a company or profession and investigate how databases may be used in that particular field. The Pharmacy I have chosen is called, "Medi Link," which is around my neighborhood.  In this lesson, I have investigated on how to apply databases to this specific area of profession.  I have investigated about pharmacies and what and why they use databases for. I have researched on the Pharmacists and the importance of their towards our society. I investigated on why creating a database for Medi Link will be useful and I have stated the benefits. Overall, I believe that I have progressed well and have used my time efficiently. For next lesson, I will research on what exact details I will put on my databases.

Term 1 MYP Project

My two topics I have researched on are: A car company called "Audi" and a Pharmacy I will find around my neighborhood area. For this term, we have studied about database. We have specifically created a whole database sheet about Cars. We were given sheets of stocks and details of different cars. We learned how to create a Table, Relationship, Queries and Reports using Microsoft Access. This knowledge can be applied in various companies such as Hospitals. It could be useful for the future.
